ELV-Shop -> USB-WDE

On the Pi you simply need to activate the drivers. Check if it is already activated with

lsmod | grep cp210x

You should now see nothing or else it might already be activated. Insert “cp210x” into “/etc/modules” and execute “modprobe cp210x”.
After a reboot you should be able to see the WDE listed with “dmesg”

With the Software “Socat” you can do a testrun to check if your WDE finds your device and receives data.

sudo apt-get install socat
sudo socat /dev/ttyUSB0,b9600 STDOUT
