Description:
Windows says that your soundmixer isnt installed and this is why you cant hear anything. If you click on the soundsymbol in the left corner, a window pops up, saying this message.

Reason:
Service is off

Fix:
Start → Rightclick Computer → Management → Services
Look for Windows Audio and turn the Service back on
Now your mixer should be working again
