This is an old revision of the document!
Delete, move, delete…
Doing this to fast will cause an error when syncing.
Outlooks sends the “delete file xy” but Exchange cant find the file where it is suppose to be because of the fast moving and deleting without syncing in between.
Create a new OST-file and synchronize your folders
Rename your old OST-file and Outlook will create a new one.
1. Close Outlook.
2. Start Explorer and search for *.ost
3. The found file should be in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook as outlook.ost
4. Rightclick the file and select rename. Edit the ending to “.old” instead of “.ost”.
5. Start Outlook and click Send/Receive
At the end, when everything worked, remove the old OST-file
